As well as Well Engineered Stuff we also like innovative use of tools & machines that make farming less debt reliant; a core aspect of Regenerative Agriculture. Inspired by Darren J. Doherty's innovative adaptations of the Yeoman's Plow (and subsequent other mod's from others) we are tricking out our own Yeomans 6SB to accommodate forhigh quality tree planting as well as seeding, biofert/ compost tea applications and hopefully in the future pasture cropping to close the loop on our pastured broiler & pig enterprises. There's a couple of awesome sites everyone should know about if they don't already.... Marcin Jakubowski and his team at Factor E farm have been working for years on their "Global Ecovillage Construction Kit" making scalable, replicable & modular machines and components from their farm HQ and Open Sourcing the plans. The general concept revolves around producing everything necessary to build sustainable settlements from the ground up. Optimized for "boltable" re-use of waste over welding and complex engineering this work is introduced at the links and short TED talk below. It's an awesome concept and project, well worth checking out and considering. Wiki Page; http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Global_Village_Construction_Sethttp://blog.opensourceecology.org/ Blog; http://blog.opensourceecology.org/ The other site that is well worth some time perusing is http://farmhack.net/tools an awesome Open Source community describing innovative retro- fit and custom builds for all aspects of farm production; from planting to harvesting, fencing to housing. Excited to keep our eyes on this as the community continues to grow. Amazing how farmer led innovation is leading to resilience and innovation that is changing the way we can meet our needs whilst restoring ecosystem health and building stronger local community.
