Ben Falk's book is a must for cold climate Permaculture designers, homesteader's and anyone keen to learn from insightful and experienced holistic decision making. We thoroughly enjoyed the read, and most importantly from our perspective; it's a work based on raw experience, dedication and enthusiasm. Permaculture design is learnt by doing; we need more practitioners out on the ground working professionally & implementing resilient and effective solutions restoring ecosystems, connecting people to bring about robust local economies & exchange systems and meeting our human needs holistically. This book supports those objectives, written in a refreshing tone that sets aside theory from observed practice. Ben has a diverse and deep design experience, and we are very excited to have him join us this spring for the first PDC at the farm as a guest lecturer via conference call. Peter Bane wrote a nice review for Permaculture Activist which gets deeper into different aspects of the book if you are interested. If you are considering taking a Permaculture Design Course this year check out the listings at the farm, where we are proud to have some of the leading global practitioners & researchers join us via digital link up, as well as local expertise joining us for different trainings. Details are getting posted on relevant course listings as they come in.
We are also excited to offer what we think is a unique learning opportunity in Europe- our 10 Week Professional Permaculture Accelerator Internship. We might be biased, but we think it's the most exciting Permaculture event happening in Europe this year, including over 530hrs of curriculum based learning & 5 Certificate Courses with some awesome folks joining us on the ground & via teleconference as we initiate this flagship project;

"Discovering" Ben's work has been great! I live in southern Quebec. any Ressources I can find that help me apply permaculture practices in a cold climate are so helpful. I'd love a copy of that book. Thanks!

Hello! OUahh good book for Luxembourg. I will share the book with friends setting up a collective farm over here, with friends (seriously) dreaming of a farm elsewhere, and with myself because i feel that it is the right moment to get practical advice from a real working project. If you choose me/us :-) please send the book to our friend Marko as i will be away until april.

(aka "DÜRTY GÜRL") I really appreciate what ya'll are doing over there--it is much in line with what I hope to co-create here in Florida - North Carolina (temperate to semi-tropical US) rock ON!

This book would be a great support to me, since I am going to spread the word of Permaculture in the city of Västerås, Sweden, this spring! HELP!

I was going to buy Ben's book at a conference this weekend but it sold out. He was also slated to talk but he got snowed in VT. I wish I could find a high quality PDC such as this one in my region.

A lot more people need to replicate and live by Ben Falk's whole systems lifeways habits and relationship with Earth. He's proven that it can be done, and that there's still hope for a much better future.

The book seems so interesting, as do your courses. But I can't leave my farm alone....

I'm preparing for a conference call with my boss and a half-dozen other colleagues. It's my first big presentation, and I'm a little nervous. What do I need to do to make sure the conference call goes well?
