profitable small scale and urban farming
1 day masterclass with special guest curtis stone
14th July 2018, Stockholm city center
Join us for this 1-day intensive with Richard Perkins and special guest Curtis Stone on his first visit to Europe. We'll begin by delving deep into the design, installation and management of small-scale regenerative agriculture. Richard will lead you through our approach to whole farm planning, sharing his extensive experience from over 100 property developments in various climate zones whilst showing you how we run one of the most productive and profitable diverse farms in Europe. Curtis will be sharing all of his best techniques used at his impressive urban farm Green City Acres, as well as sharing insights from what he’s learned traveling and visiting some of the most successful market gardens in North America and abroad. From planting and harvesting techniques, turning beds, preparing new land, stale seed beds, succession planting strategies, post-harvest techniques for washing and packing as well as all the tools and infrastructure needed to get started efficiently and productively.
With over 25 combined years of working in their fields, Richard and Curtis will be sharing their direct field-based experience via their shared passion for an entrepreneurial approach to regeneration and business. This is a unique event relevant to anyone wanting to get started with a life in farming, whether you're interested in urban gardening through to rural small-scale multi-enterprise farming. The day will be run as 4 sessions with Q & A at the end of each session.
